Flying Scotsman Around The UK
Jordon here today, for my first post. I'm just covering posts this summer before going my own way. So I'll bring some photos of the recent Flying Scotsman run as well as photos taken at Eastleigh. It ran from Paddington to Salisbury via Southampton then back to London on the 21st May, followed by touring the Surrey Hills earlier today. I was not trespassing to take this, it's taken through a gap in the fence.
If you miss these services, don't worry as there are many chances. On 28th May it will go from Paddington to Salisbury, for the 'Hampshire Cream Tea' tour. Then returns to the Surrey Hills again on 1st June before the Victoria to York 'Yorkshireman' service on 4th and 25th June and on 15th June for Crewe to Euston for Euston to Holyhead. We will keep you updated of movements on this blog.
Above here we see lots of GBRf locomotives at Eastleigh, including 66 sheds and 73s as well. The odd ones out are of course the Colas Rail duo. Then taken at the same location as the Flying Scotsman photo, we see a South west trains Sprinter unit in their striking livery.
Finally, a closer up shot from Eastleigh. A Freightliner 66 passes through the Station whilst the Colas 66 and GBRf 73s sit in the sidings. Well that's me complete for the day. Hope you like my first post, and let me know what you think via the blog Facebook / Twitter channels. Jordon.
