Weekly Review ~ 10th May 2015
Source: The GTR Group (TLink & GtNorthern) |
NEWS: There hasn't been much news since our update on Wednesday....
AbellioGreaterAnglia: DVT 82114 back from Loughborough. Now in Abellio Greater Anglia livery. 82132 headed other way. Both moves occured on 7th May. More in Fleet List.
Meanwhile, due to a Football Match at Ipswich Portman Road yesterday (Ipswich VS Norwich), additional services were put on in the form of 10:50 Norwich to Ipswich & 14:35 Ipswich to Norwich (believed to be Class 321 operated).
Unfortunately the 10:50 was slightly delayed due to a fault, but still arrived at Ipswich in ample time for kick-off at 12:15. In other news....
GTR Group: They've released the poster, seen to the above-right, as a 'blue print' of what improvements they expect to make.
SouthWestTrains: 158889 has been transferred to EastMidlandsTrains for at least 2 years (who need it more than SouthWestTrains do). This has been confirmed by Sam Simpson, who has kindly sent us a few images (copyrighted to him).
(C) Sam Simpson. 158889 is seen here at Derby. |
This 158 could see use on the Norwich to Liverpool, Lime Street route in the very near future and, although in SWT livery, it's the same unit livery (and type) as EMT, so branding only needs to be changed. However, it will still contain its internal PIS Screens. We wonder whether guards will make use of them?! Thanks once again to Sam sending us the image for this post (we appreciate it!)
