Fleet ~ AbellioGreaterAnglia, FGW & Govia (T'Link & GtNorthern)
The Class 700s for Thameslink are *alleged* to be behind schedule by approximately 1 year (now scheduled to arrive in 2017), so the Class 365s are staying a bit longer before tranferring to FirstGreatWestern. This will also postpone when the Class 166 Turbostars move west along the FGW Network. At present, this delay is just a rumour, so we'll have to see!
Regarding TOC Abellio Greater Anglia, 90015 has been repainted into AGA livery (previously NXEA colours). Following on from an exam at Crewe, it's anticipated that this locomotive will return to NC depot (Norwich Crown Point) during this week (plans not set in stone though).
Also to report is the MK3 Buffet car conversion, in order to increase the amount of standard class seats. Once this project is complete, 10200, 10203, 10214, 10216, 10223, 10228 + 10247 will have 54 Standard Class seats at the Norwich end of the formation (rather than like now, with 24 First Class seats at the London end) as well as a smaller buffet counter installed. This will mean the carriages will be in the same layout as 10401 to 10406, which had a similar conversion to Mini-Buffet cars in Derby in 2006. 10229 will go off-lease as it isn't needed - the buffet counter is longer than on other carriages, so won't be converted.
Towards the end of July, MK3s 11076 and 12167 were hauled back to Norwich Crown Point depot (NC) following repaint into AGA livery.
Back to Govia Thameslink again. 317343 and 365515 have recently been painted into Govia Great Northern livery. 317339 and also 365541 are next to continue this theme. 17 of the 365s are already in Govia GN colours.
As reported, the Class 144 Demonstrator (144012) is now entering testing in Northern colours. The seats inside are in the Fainsa style (like the Govia electrostars) and a new style PIS screen has been fitted on both the ceiling in each carriage and also on the exterior toilet wall.
Thanks for your time and attention. ^Harry
