TOC Focus - South-Eastern

Morning. Lucas here, back from vacation. I'm providing cover today.
Lewis (C)

I'll resume the TOC Focus series, beginning with the South Eastern railway franchise (2006 to 2018).

SERVICES:
South Eastern trains run, as you might expect, in the south east of England. They operate numerous services from London Bridge, Cannon Street, London Blackfriars and Charing Cross towards Kent and Sussex.

One of their most principal routes is the High Speed line between Margate, Canterbury West, Ashford International, Stratford International and St Pancras International. A dedicated fleet of Class 395s, known as Javelins, are used.

Other mainline routes include London to Dover / Canterbury West / Folkestone / Seven Oaks / Tonbridge / Chatham / Maidstone. But South Eastern also operate on smaller routes; such as the Sheerness-on-Sea, Bromley South, Greenwich, Sidcup or Hayes branches.

CURRENT FLEET:
South Eastern operate a fleet of around 367 carriages. This is a mix of Class 375/376 Electrostars, Javelins and Class 465/466 Networker, maintained at Ramsgate and Ashford.

RECENT CHANGES:
As stated, Class 375 units have began to be repainted into the darker style livery, as well as receiving an internal refurbishment. This is an ongoing project for the next year.

Not much else to report, so I sign out now. Lewis is here tomorrow and Aydan on Thursday.

I will next be here monday, for a First Hull trains and Grand Central TOC focus. After then, I'll be having a short break whilst Jacob settles in, but back in December.
