Doncaster Visit (Class 321 Overhaul + Renatus; 460s) ~ J. Maxim
For the second of three posts today, I'll (Jonathan Maxim) be showcasing photos from my recent visit to Doncaster.
Firstly, a Class 321 (Ex-London Midland) which is awaiting conversion and overhaul before transfer to Abellio Scot Rail in February.
Firstly, a Class 321 (Ex-London Midland) which is awaiting conversion and overhaul before transfer to Abellio Scot Rail in February.
These units will then be able to comply and operate with the current fleet. For further updates, see some of our older posts in the archive.
Next, Abellio Greater Anglia 321321 (I think) awaiting an Internal Overhaul Doncaster.
This is one of approximately 30 units to receive a minor overhaul/refresh (a further 10 units, 321301-321310, are undergoing overhaul by Eversholt for the Renatus programme). Once again, I clarify that these ARE seperate projects.
Finally at Doncaster, the spare carriages leftover from Gatwick Express stock. All the other coaches have been used for Class 458/5s at South West Trains.
In this photo, you can also see a MK2 carriage still in Virgin livery. This is quite outdated now!
