The Return of 34052

Today marks the return of blogger Liam, returning after a period of crucial examinations. I'm here to stay and will be providing updates and posts from the Southern and South West regions in the forthcoming future. Without further ado, let's get on to today's post.

Saturday 18th June 2016 marked another return. Locomotive 34052 "Lord Dowding" (also known as Braunton) returned to the British Pullman lunchtime train (London Victoria circular via Guildford) for the first time in 3 years. Myself and two other friends of similar age visited the popular Yorkies Bridge (also known as Uni bridge) in Guildford to photograph the locomotive which was hauling a rake of classic Pullman Coaches. Photographs of this fantastic service can be found above and below as well as my flickr page - goo.gl/mLzX3z

The locomotive had previously ran through Guildford on a football special service 3 weeks prior to the Pullman luncheon service (which itself is a monthly running service). 34052 Lord Dowding was running in place of the iconic 60163 Tornado.
