From 19th August, the first Night Tubes begin, on the Victoria and Circle lines.

The seven ex- London Midland 321/4s, owned by Eversholt and now leased to Scot Rail, have begun to undergo overhaul into 320/4 3-coach DOO EMUs. 415 and 417 are the first two in Saltire livery, and the interior refurb involves extra cycle storage, better lighting, accessibility enhancements and at-seat power sockets too (WiFi from September). These will run on cross-Glasgow services via Glasgow Central Low Level, all ready by October.

The final stage of tests to the new signalling at Hinksey is underway.


45699, by the Railway Operating Company, took a visit to Weymouth.
